Our "Event Space" project aims to provide a vibrant cultural hub for hosting social events, while also serving as a platform for creative expression. By redefining architectural design and city planning, we have identified, rescaled, replaced, and repurposed key spaces to unlock their full potential. The result is a unique and distinguished venue with a rich cultural background and a significant, influential role in the city's history.
Outdoor fabric structures are designed to moderate the effects of light, wind, and rain, creating a versatile environment suitable for hosting a wide range of events. The inter-relationship between spaces and neighboring areas requires both functional and formal interaction, and the fabrics used in these structures provide a smooth medium that not only covers the ceilings, but also enables formal interaction between spaces.
The combination of diverse users and a rich history, along with the unique location, creates a complex mixture that sparks creativity. To support this, the architecture must interact semantically with the specifications and requirements of the project in order to reintroduce the event space according to the various perspectives within this mixture.
Designing in this context involves formal and geometrical reconfigurations that are aligned with the refined and redefined function of the space as a "contemporary event space of Iran." The significance of the site, Tehran University, as a modern heritage site, requires careful consideration, while also generating a dynamic and active form that responds to the need to revive creativity.
